The Red Lion free house is at the heart of the picturesque Suffolk village of Chelmondiston on the Shotley peninsular just outside Ipswich. A family pub, we offer a fine selection of food, real ales and regular entertainment. We have pool, darts and a tv. The pub is popular with 'locals' as well as being a favourite refreshment area for hikers, cyclists and the many tourists who regularly visit the area.Food and Drink
Visitors and locals alike enjoy our fine choice of drinks available as well as our great range of old fashioned home cooked dishes from full meals to light snacks - all freshly produced from our kitchen. We use local ingredients wherever possible.Food is served both at lunchtime and in the evenings and as well as our super traditional menu there are daily 'specials' and a roast every Sunday.
We offer a selection of real-ales along with a range of lagers, cider and a stout on tap as well as an extensive 'top shelf'.
